JourniTools

What I wish I knew before I left home.

Practical travel intelligence that prevents the problems you only notice when it's too late — flight DVT and allergy emergencies, currency mistakes and hidden fees, dead phones and surprise border rules. 80+ country guides, 100+ city guides, dietary dining, and tools that answer the questions you didn't think of asking.

For international travelers with real-world constraints

What is JourniTools — and how we help you travel smarter

JourniTools is a free, ad-supported practical travel guide for international travelers who bring real-world constraints with them.

Dietary restrictions, faith-based needs, prescription routines, smartphone and laptop accessibility, currency conversions, voltage differences, language gaps, and dozens of small frictions can turn a planned trip into a stressful one. We built it because the standard "Top 10 things to do in Paris" listicle doesn't help when you need to find a certified kosher or halal restaurant near your hotel, confirm whether your laptop charger will survive in Tokyo, or remember which emergency number works in Portugal at 2 AM.

The site is organized around four ideas. Topic hubs group the most important guides and tools by travel theme — health and safety, money, logistics and connectivity, faith and culture, medical and dietary needs. Traveler guides are deeper editorial pieces written for specific traveler profiles: seniors, business travelers, first-time international travelers, digital nomads, and travelers keeping halal across Europe. Blog posts tackle one specific question at a time, usually one we got wrong on our own trips. And the tools below — currency converter, world clock, packing list, prohibited items checker, unit converter — are quick utilities for in-trip moments when you don't want to read an article.

Start with a hub if you're orienting yourself for a new destination, drop into a tool if you're already on the road, or browse the blog when you're planning. Everything here is free, nothing requires a sign-up, and the only data we collect is the anonymous traffic analytics that tell us which guides are actually useful. If something's missing or wrong, the contact page is the fastest way to reach us.
